梅雨の一日

こんばんは、めずらしく終日雨の降りしきる一日でしたね。
これで一庫ダムの水位も少しは上がったとは思いますが、
猛暑が予想される今夏のこと、渇水であることに変わりはなさそうです。
今から節水を意識しておく必要がありそうですね。

夜中になってようやく雨も止み、明日は再び真夏日がやってくるようです。
とはいえ、あさっての試験日＝24日はふたたび雨の予報（曇りのち雨）。
受験者の皆様は帰り用の折り畳み傘をお忘れなく;-)

ご承知の通り、当店は改装工事のため一時的に閉店しております。
先日店内すべての商品を引き上げ、目下大工事中です。
この梅雨が明けて暑い夏が始まる頃に、
フロアを2階に移して再びお目にかかれると思います（7月14日頃の予定です:-)。


米大統領選挙運動は早くも激しさを増しているようですが、
報道によると、ここにきて共和党・民主党の両方に
新たな候補者の出馬する可能性が出てきているようです。
その一人が、前回の選挙で惜しくも落選した民主党のAl Gore氏です。
彼を再び大統領候補に押し上げようとするページを見つけました。

映画「不都合な真実(An Inconvenient Truth)」のヒットで再びメディア露出度が高まった、
女性（Clinton)でも黒人(Obama)でもない白人男性の民主党候補であるということが、
中道左派の人々にpersuade and encourage him to runさせる主な理由なのでしょうか。
